Salt of the Earth
Salt of the Earth crystal deodorants work and play as hard as you do, protecting you effectively and invisibly. Naturally.
Salt of the Earth started selling crystal deodorants in 1993 under the name ‘Crystal Spring Natural Body Deodorant’. The crystal deodorant sprays were later introduced in 2005.
Crystal Spring Natural Body Deodorant became Salt of the Earth in 2008 after a major rebrand.
Salt of the Earth love natural ingredients, products and lifestyles and their deodorants are no exception, everything they produce is free from Aluminium Cholorohydrate, Parabens, Alcohol, Perfumes, CFC's, Triclosan, Mineral Oils, and Propellants
All Salt of the Earth Deodorants:
- Provide Long Lasting Protection
- Leave no white marks
- Are unisex and unscented
- Are suitable for vegans and vegetarians
- Are NOT tested on animals
The main active ingredient Salt of the Earth uses is Potassium alum, an antibacterial, naturally-occurring mineral salt. Potassium alum has been used as a deodorant for thousands of years and has even been used to purify water. Salt of the Earth works by leaving a thin layer of this mineral salt on your skin, the mineral salt inhibits the growth of bacteria. It is this bacteria which causes body odour (by breaking down your sweat and releasing a smell). Sweat doesn’t smell bad and it is good for your body to be able to sweat. Sweat helps the body cool down, release toxins, improves circulation and cleanses your skin. Normal deodorants block your pores to stop your body sweating. Salt of the Earth provides long lasting odour protection without blocking your pores.
